Xiatech launches charity football match to raise awareness of testicular cancer

At 6pm on Tuesday, 30 May 2023, Xiatech’s employees will unleash their amateur, desk-bound footballers to compete against one another – and some fiercely competitive customers and partners – during a fundraiser match at Camden Rhino Turf.

With a strong mix of ‘ballers’ and maybe not so ‘ballers’, our team plans to raise £3,000 for The Oddballs Foundation (No. 1164815), which helps men of all ages go through testicular cancer and raise awareness of checking themselves on a regular basis.

In the United Kingdom this year, approximately 2,300 men of all ages will be diagnosed with testicular cancer.  For many, it’s a lonely experience as they undergo treatment.

Rich Vaughan, Transformational Consultant at Xiatech, said about the fundraiser: “Last year, I was diagnosed with testicular cancer, and they, along with Xiatech, gave me the emotional and physical support I needed to get through the experience. Please support our fundraising campaign because it will make a huge difference in the lives of your husbands, brothers, sons, friends and colleagues.”

After the game, we will be hosting some well-earned drinks and nibbles from 8pm at The Princess of Wales Pub, 22 Chalcot Rd, London NW1 8LL.
