Capture real-time Point of Sale transactions

Overview

Businesses with many customer touchpoints often struggle to retrieve data in a timely fashion. Electronic Point of Sale (ePOS) systems are traditionally difficult to publish or extract data. Organisations that rely on this data normally have to wait to access this data at the end of the day or in mini-batches, and often only aggregated data is available. When the location at which the ePOS is remote and with a poor connection, the valuable data containing sales, customer data and other important information cannot easily be accessed.

Xiatech have developed a unique Smart Agent that allows easy access to data locked away in remote systems such as ePOS. The Smart Agent is a lightweight piece of software that sits on the ePOS or back office in the actual location (store, petrol station, convenience shop, etc) and proactively listens for the latest transactions.

The Smart Agent then passes that data to our central controller in the cloud, which cleanses the data, transforms it and makes the data available for onward consumption or analysis. The data can be made available via any method (API, Web Service, JSON, flat file, etc) or can be stored in a data lake over which Xiatech’s Hyper-Integration Platform automatically prepares for visualisation and analysis in self-service dashboards and advanced analytics via its Intelligent Insights Hub.
